Vitamin D is a hormone made by your body when you are exposed to sunlight! One in eight Irish people are deficient! Vitamin D maintains your calcium balance, which supports good bone health. Winter time can be tricky to get enough Vitamin D, other best sources are oily fish such as tuna, salmon and mackerel and fish liver oils. Taking a daily supplement in winter months could be another alternative!
